DurAlt® Fuel Conditioner is a liquid petrochemical material that consists of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen; it contains no metals, sulfur or nitrogen. It has been designated “substantially similar” to fuel by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and is legally allowed to be bulk treated into both gasoline and diesel fuels
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q1: Is there anything in DurAlt® that could void my engine warranty?
A1: No. DurAlt® contains no metals, no sulfur, no nitrogen, no phosphorus and no low boiling point alcohols, which will void some warranties. DurAlt® will not void engine warranties. On the contrary, by improving the combustion process and minimizing combustion chamber deposits, DurAlt® will keep engines cleaner, reduce maintenance, and extend the engine life. The US EPA has rated DurAlt® as “substantially similar” to gasoline.
Q2: Does DurAlt® work with Bio-Diesel?
A2: Yes. DurAlt® can be safely used with Bio-Diesel and Bio-Diesel blends. It will also compensate for the power loss and fuel economy drawbacks of Bio-Diesel, as well as reduce the cold start and gum formation problems that are sometimes encountered with Bio-Diesel fuels.
Q3: If I use more DurAlt® than recommended, will I get even better results?
A3: No. DurAlt® has been tested extensively in laboratories and actual fleets to determine the optimum amount to use for maximum results. The recommended treatment amount is all that is needed. A single ounce of DurAlt® will treat 23 gallons of diesel fuel.
Q4: How can a small amount of DurAlt® treat so much fuel?
A4: DurAlt® concentrated compounds are self-dispersing and act as a catalyst to enhance the combustion of all carbon based fuels. DurAlt® is a refinery grade multi-purpose additive. As such, it can be created in a highly concentrated and pure form.
Q5: Can DurAlt® be used in winter as a diesel anti-gel?
A5: No. DurAlt® is not an anti-gel, although it does improve cold starting. We recommend DuraFlo®, another of our products, which will maintain flow to -30˚F in most #2 diesel fuels; DurAlt® will blend with the anti-gel.
